
I have struggled with maintaining fitness for the better part of my life. That struggle was enhanced with the fact that I was in a different body (female) type than what I felt inside (masculine). I began a transition around the holidays of 2017 and knew that personal training would be the key to the gains I had longed for. I interviewed a half dozen gyms and trainers - Once I met Roger Mack, I knew he was my match and would be become a good friend as well. I told him that I had two main goals to accomplish in my first year of training: 1) lose nearly 50 pounds and 2) build a masculine physique. In just 5 1/2 months I have lost 45 pounds, over 18.5 inches overall, built the framework of the physique that I am proud of... and positioned myself well to truly sculpt the body I’ve always wanted. I initially trained with Roger several years ago. He took the time to understand my lifestyle, what were my goals and a realistic timeframe in which to achieve them. I found him to be tough and very thorough. His approach to fitness is to develop in his clients a kind of discipline that will create and maintain a lifetime of wellness. Although it has been a while since I have had one on one training with Roger, I continue to use the skills taught to me in order to maintain my fitness.
